The building project is so close to being livable! Carla lists her building prayers. Carla wonders how the political unrest may change their ministry in the future. Jeff is still in America, but praying to get to Kesigon soon. Kids are doing great. Schoolstarted up again today.

Due to technical difficulties..this is the letter that was supposed to go out 6 days ago. We got three new kids this week: Isaac Bahati, Margaret, & Samuel Mtoni. We hired another child care worker to help with the babies. Carla gives an update on the 16 year old boy with AIDS that she talked about last week. Building is still at a standstill.

2008-03-03
Carla explains the current political situation. The political situation has drastically affected our ministry. This week we got two newborn girls: Peris Neema and Naomi Shangwe. We use 75 diapers and 2.5 can of formula a day now which cost $36 a day! We built a spring last week and are starting another one tomorrow. Carla remembers Mark Steven. Building is back up and running! Carla discusses the dynamics of arranging sleeping locations for 29 kids in their current home.

We are doing fine. The spring protection ministry is in full swing. Jeff has been continuing to help with transporting counselors to the camps for displaced people. Building continues. We leased the ten acres of land adjoining our property, which we hope to someday purchase.

2008-03-19
Meet Eliza, Sarah and Mercy. Carla is working the night shift. The internet signal is much better at the new property...just another reason to move.

The big news of last week was two new baby girls! Joy and Eunice. The kids are home from school for the month. We got a few packages this week, twelve pair of little "croc" shoes & a DVD of A granddaughter in the States. Due to the displaced people and price increases, not as much maize is being planted in Kenya. Carla gives us their weekly menu. Planting at the new place is going well. We are making preliminary preparations to move. Things are working out pretty well with Dr. Chebet. Baby Sarah may be returned to her mother. Today construction started on Mark Steven Spring.
